“Well done to the A & B teams for finishing the season by maintaining their positions in North 1 and 2 for next season.
The A team finished the season at Chew Stoke with a win 8 - 4. This was most impressive because at one point in the game all 3 rinks were well behind. One rink was won by 23 - 10 and we managed to take the match points with comebacks on the other rinks, one from 3 - 20 to finish 15 - 20 and the other 2 - 14 to finish 12 - 18. The final score was a 50 - 48 shots win. This highlights the reason for keeping on going until the end of the match.
The B team lost away to a strong Winscombe team, but after a season of constantly changing line ups, staying in North 2 is a great result. Well done to all who have contributed.
The over 55’s finished the season with a couple of wins, but couldn’t avoid dropping down into League 2. Our habit of yo-yo’ing between the 1st & 2nd divisions continues.
